Sumac Ridge

In 2015, me&ideas started with Arterra Wines, on brand strategy and creative for their Canadian VQA Wines portfolio.

Our first assignment was to work on a new platform, strategy, blueprint and creative for Sumac Ridge Winery. The idea… THIS IS ME resonated with the frequent, occasional and potential consumer.

Our work on ‘This is me’ led to our engagement on their packaging refresh in 2018. The brand had successfully built a loyal consumer base who understood that Sumac Ridge consistently delivered quality wines, but they found current packaging lacked relevance and shelf impact.

The new label designed by me&ideas is made up of a series of mountain ridges with a gradient watercolour effect – a nod to the West Coast and the area where Sumac Ridge wines come from. The label refresh was also supported by POS assets to introduce the labels to market – keep an eye out for them!
